[dropcap]T[/dropcap]oday, I had the pleasure of being present to document the ribbon cutting for my new friend Caitlin Hicks – Private Jeweler & Designer! Surrounded by her loving friends, family, and several members of our community, she cut the ribbon and welcomed guests up to visit her new showroom (and to enjoy the cutest diamond-topped donuts!).
You know you’ve arrived at Caitlin’s showroom when you find the simple and elegant frosted glass door. As soon as you walk through that door, you’re greeted with tons of natural light and a fun, modern overhead light. Looking around the room, it is obvious that every item in her space was hand selected and the final result is classic, beautiful, and fun. Charming finishing touches are my favorite so when I saw the gold handles on the backs of those blue chairs, I was in love! She has plenty of space at her dining-room-sized marble desk to meet with clients and design their custom jewelry. Even the art on her wall, while clean and simple, fits perfectly! Do you see the diamond?! *SO COOL!* I could seriously just hang out in a space like hers all day, every day, and never grow bored looking at it. Not only is the space welcoming and intimate, but the view she has from the second story of the Professional Building is also pretty great, too!
Caitlin has been in the jewelry industry for over a decade and says she’s super excited to bring her services to her hometown of Monticello, IL. Not only does she design jewelry, but she also has a variety of stunning estate pieces to browse through, too! No matter what your needs may be, if it involves jewelry, be sure to give her a call!
If you’re in the area, I encourage you to stop by the Professional Building on Livingston Street in Monticello to give her a warm welcome and to wish her well in this new business venture. Caitlin, I am SO happy for you and I cannot wait to see (and shoot) all the pretty little things you have in store for us! Thank you for allowing me to celebrate this exciting time with you.
