Ashley & Justin were married at the Blossom Wedding Venue in Litchfield this fall with an intimate reception to follow, complete with amber glass and warm, glowy ambience. A lot of planning, prepping, and praying went into this couple’s special day and it all paid off! It was absolutely beautiful with the bluest sky and the softest autumn breeze.

The day started peacefully at the venue with the girls getting dolled up in the bridal suite. I arrived early to walk the grounds, scouting locations for portraits, and was greeted with a big hug from Ashley, her mama, and Nana before starting in on details. My husband was my second shooter for the first part of the day, so he headed out to meet the guys. I received a text as soon as he got there saying, “This garage is goals!!” Justin’s friends, Kevin and Amy, hosted the boys that morning and from what I am told, their garage is the place to be! It is climate controlled, has a pool table, a full bar, big screen TV’s, and I am sure more. It sounds like the ultimate man cave and looked so cool!

When Ashley and Justin got engaged last year, I was so excited for them! They’re perfect for each other in so many ways and compliment each other so well. I knew as soon as I met them that it was only a matter of time before they tied the knot. Justin has a little boy and to watch Ashley with him, there is no doubt she loves him as her own. I know that means the world to Justin – not only to have found someone to love him so deeply, but his son, too.

The love she has for him was especially evident on their wedding day. During their ceremony, she surprised everyone with personal vows just for Brantlee. She reminisced on the night they met, memories they’ve made along the way, and admitted that life would be “pretty boring” without him and Justin. The way Brantlee held her hand and smiled as Ashley spoke to him was quite moving.

This wasn’t the only surprise Ashley had in store, though! (She is seriously so thoughtful to make other people feel special on their wedding day!) Ashley told me a few weeks before the wedding that she was going to ask Nana to dance with her at their reception to the song she danced to with her own husband so many years ago at their own wedding. Papa is no longer with us, so when Nana was called up, there were quite a few tears shed. Ashley’s brother cut in halfway through to finish the dance and I’ve gotta say – if my future kids are half as sweet as these two, I will be so proud, as I know their mama is.

Ashley and Justin, thank you for choosing me and trusting me to document your wedding day. It was full of love and so much laughter. I love you guys. I hope you enjoy these highlights while I finish your full gallery!

Love,

Lisa
